Upcycled Messenger Bag

Here's another sweater I up-cycled to a messenger bag. I originally found this sweater at the thrift store and was thinking about needle-felting it. As you can see from the picture I chose not to needle-felt but to add trim around the edges. Altogether, with sewing, cutting and putting the pieces together, it took me about four hours to complete. I used asian inspired fabric that I purchased at Stitch & Sew in Lakewood, New Jersey and buttons I had in my personal stash. I plan on testing this satchel out today shopping. I'll let you know how well it works.
